The Rev. Bob Winter officiated. Burial followed at Arvin District Cemetery. Mr. Collins, born in Oklahoma, was owner and operator of Sav-On Furniture. Survivors include his wife Charlotte of Lamont, son Clifton Shane Collins of Lamont; stepdaughters Jacqueline Deer of Arkansas and Angeline Bivins of Lamont, one grandchild, 5 step-grandchildren, 1 step great-grandchild, mother Janis Collins of Lamont, brothers Tony and Charles of Kansas, Richard of Oregon and Joe of Bakersfield, sister Margustta and Christine, both of Kansas. Pallbearers were Joseph A. Collins, Jr., Billy Mize, Jim Mize, Jack Collins, C. A. Ross, and Jim Cash. Honorary pallbearers were Trice Harvey, Assemblyman, Judge Charles Wilson, Judge Jim Bowles, John Smith, Kern Co.
