Ross, 75, of 2133 Sacramento St. who died May 1 in a Bakersfield rest home. The Rev. John Lavendar minister of First Baptist Church will officiate and interment will follow in the Masonic section, Greenlawn Memorial Park. Mr. Ross, a native of Indiana, had resided in Kern County 44 years. He had engaged in the insurance business 35 years and was a partner in Ross and Son Insurance. Mr. Ross was a member of the First Baptist Church 43 years and served as a Deacon; was a member of the Bakersfield Masonic Lodge 224, Kern County Shrine Club, Scottish Rite Bodies, and Independent Insurance Board, Bakersfield, and past secretary of Insurance Board and past secretary of Exchange club. Survivors include his widow Lillian M; a daughter Mrs. Peggy McCarty of Long Beach; two sons Eugene B. of Chatsworth and Charles A. of Bakersfield; two sisters Mrs. Lentes Priester, and Mrs. Ida Renfro, both of Ventura and 7 grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Alfred Oakey, Al Rapp, Carson Blacklock, Claude Glasgow, T. R. Criswell, and Frank Johnson.
