You asked for obits for the following: Ben Stinson dod 2-20-1966 SarahStinson dod12-2-1967 Ajoebrady@aol.com Bakersfield Californian, Tuesday, February 22, 1966 Stinson, Benjamin Franklin - Services will be conducted in the Greenlawn Mortuary Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday for Benjamin Franklin Stinson, 79, of 2412 San Emidio who died February 20 in a Bakersfield hospital. The Reverend John Lavender, minister of First Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill section of Greenlawn Memorial Park. Mr. Stinson, a native of Texas, had resided in Kern County 46 years. He had operated Stinson's Stationery Store, served on the Bakersfield Board of Education for 20 years, the Bakersfield Recreation Commission for 17 years and the Kern County Recreation Commission for 15 years. He also belonged to the Bakersfield Kiwanis Club, the East Bakersfield Progressive Club and had served on the Kern County School Board and the Kern County School Redistricting Committee. He is survived by his widow, Sarah F. Stinson; a daughter Elva Mae Campbell of Bakersfield; four sons, Ben F. Stinson, Jr., Ray C., and Charles T. Stinson all of Bakersfield and Dr. J. Robert Stinson of Virginia; a brother Jack Stinson of Kelseyville; a sister Mrs. Nettie Valentine of Sonoma, and 6 grandchildren. Pallbearers will be J.P. Woodward, Elmer Karpe, Ken Rich, Harold Mumford, D.M. Mills and Ernest Hunter. Bakersfield Californian, Monday, December 4, 1967 Stinson, Sarah (Sallie) Frances - Services will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Chapel tomorrow at 3 p.m. for Sarah (Sallie) Frances Stinson, 83, 2412 San Emidio St., who died Saturday in a Bakersfield hospital the Reverend Dr. B. C. Barrett and the Reverend Alan Stringfellow will officiate and interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Mrs. Stinson was a native of Texas and had resided in Kern County 48 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she served as a deaconess, Bakersfield Garden Club, and Central Valley Dahlia Society. In earlier years she was a member of Women's Club of Bakersfield. She was active in PTA work in William Penn, Lowell, Emerson, & Bakersfield High School; a member 6 years of the Southern California Baptist Convention Board and for 10 years a member of the board of Women's Baptist Mission Society of Southern California. She has worked continuously in Women's Baptist Mission Society in different offices, serving as president from 1927 to 1930. She also served as Superintendent of the beginner's dept. of First Baptist church for 20 years. Survivors include a daughter, Elva Mae Campbell of Bakersfield; four sons, Ben F., Jr., Ray C., and Charles T. all of Bakersfield, and Dr. J. Robert of Denver, Colo; two sisters, Mrs. Lottie Jacks and Mrs. Minnie Beck, both of Bakersfield and 6 grandchildren. Pallbearers will be J.P. Woodward, Harold Mumford, Elmer Karpe, Carlton Minner, C. E. Blacklock and F. Pat Edmondson. Sharon Kern Co. Volunteer
