From 1923 to 1941 he worked as a horseshoer in Los Angeles and San Diego counties. He was appointed Encinitas postmaster in April 1942 and remained in that post until MAy 1958. He was a life member and past commander of American Legion Post 416 and was a member of World War I Barracks and the retired Postmasters Association. Survivors include his wife, Edith; two daughters, Betty Sturdevan of Encinitas and Kathryn Butler of San Diego; two sisters, six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Encinitas Mortuary was in charge of arrangements. The family suggests contributions to the San Diego chapter of the American Cancer Society. Elnor Warnock Services for Elnor Wornock, 83, of North Park, will be tomorrow at 11:45 a.m. at First United Presbyterian Church, followed by burial in Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery.
