    3. Nancy, Thanks for the link. I had a habit of saving all of Ms. Rasmussen's articles, but accidentally lost many of them. She always has interesting articles, and they always run on Sundays. I met her last year when she was on a book signing tour. She's very nice, and loves history. 1. Some Genealogy Humor---Off Topic
    2. Nancy Howard
    3. Hi Listers, I am sure you all have seen the lists of "How To Tell If You Are a Genealogy Addict" ---such as 'You make secret long distance calls while your spouse is asleep.' I would like to add two of my own. Last weekend I was in Visalia, a small town in Tulare Co. for a family gathering. I stopped for breakfast at a local coffee shop. Most of the other customers were well into late middle age. I had to hold myself back from asking, in a loud voice, "Do any of you know the Perkins family? If so, my I come talk to you at your table?" And, you are a genealogy addict if...you tramp around a cemetery in the rain photographing gravesites of people you never heard of for people you haven't met. It all was great fun. Nancy Howard in Studio City CA ===== Researching: Doyle in TN,KY and CA; Perkins in MO,KY and CA; Pringle in CT,MO and OR; Howard in ME, NY and CT. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? 3. Hi Listers, All my phone lines have been out due to flooding in last week's storms---I'm catching up on some posts. Today's Los Angeles Times had another interesting column by Cecilia Rasmussen. This one deals with an early land grant family and dastardly deeds---it reads like a movie script. Here's the URL, remember, the Times doesn't keep articles online for very long. <http://www.latimes.com/news/state/20010218/t000014813.html> Nancy Howard in Studio City CA __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
