Hi, Need information on John L. Rhoads. The 1920 Census found him in San Jose, Santa Clara County, CA. He is believed to have died between 1920 and Sept 1935. He was the child of Andrew Jackson Rhoads and Mary McDonald. He was divorced from Ella M. Bean who died in Sept 1935. This couple had a child, Carl Mayo Rhoads 1887-1960. In 1938 the family moved to Shafter where Dessie attended school and graduated from Shafter High School with the class of 1944. She married Vic Sharp of Shafter in 1944 and in 1961 they moved from Shafter to Wasco where she and Vic owned and operated Cinderella Motel and Restaurant for 15 years until their retirement in 1980. Prior to this they had also managed the Eden Rock Motel and Coffee Shop for 10 years. She was very active in the Church of Christ and was a Sunday school teacher. She was preceded in death by her husband Vic who passed away March 24, 1988.
