Brother Bill Nazaroff will officiate and burial will be in the Shafter Cemetery. Susie was a native of Russia and had lived in this community since 1926. She was a long time member of the Russian Christian Molokan Church. Survivors include her devoted children, Sam W. Chernabaeff, of Klamath Falls, Oregon, and Alex W. Chernabaeff, of Bakersfield, June Portnoff of Paso Robles and Anna Kochergen of Austria; her brothers, John Mendrin of Madera, and Steve Mendrin of Kermin; her sisters, Jean Nazaroff of Kermin, Mary Matchniff of Montebello; also 15 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren. I am trying to locate information about Dorothy Kessler. She was born aug 24 1910 in AZ and was the dtr of F Nicholas Kessler and Claire Cline. Dorothy was mentioned in her grandmother's obit as being Mrs Don Richie and living in Long Beach in March 1943. I have found a death record for Dorothy Richey, same date, same mother's maiden name - died 1968 in LA County. Is there SKS who might be able to check marriage records in LA county for Donald Richey and Dorothy Kessler? I suspect they might have been married anytime from 1930 onward. I haven't had much luck with this obit request with the NORCAL or CA groups, so I thought I'd see if someone from southern Cal might be near a San Jose library. Joseph Solari, b. 30 March, 1869, d. 12 January, 1942, San Jose. August Solari, his brother, b. 3 October, 1882, d. 17 Feb 1969, San Jose paper (he lived here most of his life) or Stockton paper, San Joaquin Co. where he died. Also, Joseph's wife Anunziata (Annie) Solari (maiden name Casci), b. 8 April, 1877, d. 23 November, 1969. She died in San Francisco, but she had no obit in SF and may have been written up in San Jose due to her long residence there. Joseph had a ranch on McKee Road in 1910-1920, where he grew apricots and prunes. His brother August lived with them. Joseph had ten children, nine of whom are: George, Jennie, Lillie, Charles, Dora, Louis J., Eva, Guido August, and Emma. Another Joseph Solari lived in the area on another ranch, with a brother named Victor. This is not mine. Thank you for your help. -Karen
