Snow who at age 40 married Nancy Oxford age 29 on 18 Oct 1866 in Newton Co. the marriage book says he was from Carroll C. There were several Snow families in Newton in the 60 and 70 census. Could John H. have been visiting family and also wife hunting? I don't find him in the census of Newton so I guess he went back home. Nancy is the one I am looking for. She could be the Nancy Oxford McAgee who came from GA with her husband and was widowed in Newton Co., AR. Maybe she didn't give her married name when she married John H. only her maiden name.
