Expertly rebound in terra-cotta cloth, recent endpapers, black leather labels printed in gilt. Uncut and partially unopened. Fine. First and only edition. The personal copy of the author, Nora E. Snow, with her bookplates on versos of front-free endpapers. Genealogies of this variety were generally privately published for the benefit of subscribers, contributors and genealogical libraries. The Snow family volume commences with the American progenitor, Richard Snow, who settled at Woburn, Mass. in the late 1630s and delineates the family lineage with special attention to the William Payne Family, the Henry Stevens family, and others; the Estes volume makes the connection to the Snow family from the family of Matthew Estes of Dover, N.H.� &c.
