I just subscribed to this mailing list and I want to post my position. My family has been traced back thus: William Howard Snow - Leonia Prestridge (both living) Webster Benjamin Snow b. 07/25/1885 in Walker Co, m. Edrie Blackwell William Henry Snow, b. 06/12/1851 in Al, m. Penelope Ann Williams William Henry Snow, b. 01/22/1814 (maybe Virginia), m. Matilda Norma Ann Chilton Thomas (Tom) Snow - ? We have seen family trees that put this Thomas as son of Peter Snow and Elizabeth Adams, but we cannot corroborate that. Lists of their six children from Fitchburg Records do not mention any Thomas. We are searching for answers. Elizabeth Adams Snow and three of her sons came to Tuscaloosa Alabama in the early 1800s where she died in 1852. There was a Thomas who held land in that area along with the three sons. Our Thomas is buried in "Snow" cemetery - Old Thompson Cemetery - South Walker Co. Al, along with the elder William Henry. Walker Co. was once a part of Tuscaloosa Co. We have collected much information on the following because we thought they were our lines: William Snow / Rebecca Browne Joseph Snow / Hopestill Alden Isaac Snow / Hannah Shaw Peter Snow / Eunice Godfrey Peter Snow / Elizabeth Adams we would be glad to share what we have.
