John Porter. p 12 "16 Mar 1743 Joh Whtiman & widow Hannah Snow <note both these church affiliated references indicate the m. was 16 Mar 1743 and not 1742 as cited in MF5G <above> You have Eunice Godfrey as the wife first of lst. Peter and MF5G Vol. VII. Indicates her name is Eunice Atherton p 171-172 gives the following data on Peter Snow (5) Issac (4) Joseph (3) Rebecca (2) Brown, Peter (1) b. Bridgewater 25 July 1731; d. Crown Point NY. in 1760. He m. ca 1754 Eunice Atherton apparently the one b. Lancaster 20 Jan. or 28 Nov. 1733; d. Harvard 17 Dec. 1767; dau of Benjamin and Eunice (-----) ATherton. She m. (2) Harvard 18 Jan. 1762 John jFarwell by whom she had Eunice. On 18 July 1760 Eunice Snow, widow, Nathaniel Whittemore, and Oliver Atherton, yeomen all of Harvard posted bond for Eunice Snow, to administer the estate of her husband Peter Snow late of Harvard, axsmith, deceased. An account of the estate was rendered by John Farwell and Eunice his wife, formerly Eunice Snow on 20 Sept. 1762. On 8 April 1768 Mr. Oliver Atherton was appointed guardian to Peter Snow only child of Peter Snow deceased, "Whereas ye within named Eunice dyed ye 17Day of Decmr. 1767." Oliver Atherton was an uncle of Peter Snow. Children (Snow) b. Harvard; i. Judith (6) b. 17 Dec. 1755; d. there 12 Oct. 1756 ae 10 m ii. Peter b. 9 Sept. 1759 References: VR Harvard; Lancaster (b. Eunice). Worcester Co. PR A54946, A54947 (Peter Snow) <Once again other than the Probate references this data is pretty slim, compared to other volumes in the MF5G series. Can confirm the births of Judith and Peter in the Harvard VR; m Eunice to John Farewell; death of Judith; as follows: Vital Records of Harvard, Massachusetts to the Year 1850 Published by NEHGR, Boston, (1917) Births p 96 Judith Snow, d. of Peter and Unice, Dec. 1755. <Unice so written> Peter Snow s. of Peter and Eunice, Sept. 9, 1759 Marriages p 214 Eunice Snow and John Farewell, Jan. 18, 176 Deaths p 304 Judith Snow, d. of Peter and Eunice, Pct. 12, 1756, a 10 m. C.R.1 C.R. 1 = First Congregational Church records. The data does yield some clues. ...Peter's death in Crown Point, N.Y., the probate records of guardianship of son Peter. <Worchester Co, MA. Would recommend you pursue getting this data confimed via primary sources, The Vital Records of Bridgewater are available from NEHGR Library. If I can be of futher help to you attempting to link the above Snow's to Elizabeth (Adams) Snow and your Ala group please drop me a note. But before you go any further it would seem prudent to tackle the inconsistencies mentioned above. MF5G series, while a very reliable source, do from time to time contain errrors and this might be one of those cases????
