George Snow has written to the Snow List. . . re Snows of Plymouth MA and notes . . . . . >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> A search by the Town Clerk, Easton MA produced the following: Otis A. Snow, Iron Worker, Died 2/25/1906, in Easton. Married to Mary Hubbard of Easton. Died 11/18/1906 in Stoneham MA His father listed as Otis A. Snow of Taunton MA and mother as Elizabeth (Snow) of Maine. They list one son, Archy O. Snow who died in Easton 12/23/1882 age 34 years. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> I am still searching for the origins of REBECKAH SNOW, b. Oct 1, 1793 vic. of Providence RI, her parents, siblings, and so forth. This Snow family likely moved from RI to Broadalbin, Montgomery Co. NY bef 1815, and there she married May 20/30 1815 to Thomas Force Palmer. 1820 Census Rebeckah Snow and Thomas Palmer are living Warsaw, Wyoming Co. NY next door to a SAMUEL SNOW. Both couples have small children and so I assume that Samuel Snow is a brother of Rebeckah.. Rebeckah & Thomas named their daughters: Lydia Hubbard Palmer!!!!!! Margaret McCoon Palmer, and Chloe Allen Palmer. So we think that these might be names of Rebeckah's mother or grandmother. They are not names on her husbands side, as the Palmer history is well know. Rebeckah named her son Joseph Snow Palmer; he was b. Warsaw NY 1819. I recall that there is a Joseph Snow in the Montgomery Co NY census about that about that time, but I need to check that again. In your Hubbard wanderings, if you encounter these names, or any clues I would love to know. If anyone has clues to the request of George Snow concerning the families of Otis A. Snow, his wife Mary Hubbard, their parents, etc. I would like to hear from you. Peter Burrows, Annapolis, MD
