    1. Re: [SNOW-L] Snows in Tennessee

    3. We have an un connected William Snow in Lewis County Washington in the 1889 Census. Washington Territory became a State in November of 1889 so a Census was performed that year. William Snow was 16 years old, single and born in Tennessee. As far as we can determine he is from another Snow family. The part of our family that moved to Washington Territory left Morgan County, TN about 1887. They are listed in this Census too. They are down line from James and Cassia Snow. James, born about 1801, is the son of Ebenezer and Sally Snow. This William being un connected may just mean he was of another Snow family. It also could be a relative who traveled with them, on his own and we have not connected him. Ebenezer and Sally Snow also lived in Warren and or Smith County which is west of Morgan and Roane. That part of Warren and or Smith County became DeKalb. Ebenezer's brothers were in DeKalb too. There was a Joseph and a William and a John. Since Ebenezer was the oldest of the brothers he had a son also named William about 8 years younger than his brother. Sometimes Ebenezer's son, William was called Junior to differentiate between the elder and the younger men named William. Let me know if this helps, Jeanne ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rick Snow" <rick.snow@nashville.com> To: <SNOW-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, April 21, 2001 11:36 AM Subject: Re: [SNOW-L] Snows in Tennessee > Yes.
