He married Zilpah Waring. Their daughter Mary Florilla Snow was born 3 March 1830 in Central Square. She married Calvin Yale Shepard of Brewerton, Onondaga County in 1859. I am seeking information about Aaron Snow, his siblings and forebears. Any information or guidance would be sincerely appreciated. Moses SNOW was born in 1755.1 He removed in 1807 to Rotterdam (now Constantia), NY.1 He died in 1818.1 He was married to Thankful THIVING on 11 Nov 1780 in Chesterfield, MA.1 Moses SNOW and Thankful THIVING had the following children: +12 i. Col. Aaron SNOW. 13 ii. Asher SNOW was born in 1769.1 SEVENTH GENERATION 12. Col. Aaron SNOW2 was born in 1763 in North Conway, MA.3,1 Col. Aaron is said to have been born in 1763 but his father, Moses, was born only 12 years earlier. Also, Moses is said to have married Thankful in 1780. Aaron's brother Asher is said to have been born in 1769. Perhaps Aaron was really born in 1783? He removed about 1807 to New York state.4 He came from CT and settled in Constania. He died in 1849.1 He was a farmer.5 "Aaron Snow was a son-in-law of Major Solomon Waring, of Constantia, and came here in 1820. He sold his wheat and potatoes at that time for $2.50 per bushel. In 1822, he moved to Caughdenoy and in 1826 to the L'Hommedieu Location, where his son Leonard succeeded him on the homestead." He was married to Zilpah WARING (daughter of Major Solomon WARING) on 1 Jan 1810 in Constantia, Oswego Co., NY.6,1 Only the first and last born, Ephraim and Mary, respectively, survived. Col. He was married to Elsie SHUE.12 Elsie SHUE died in 1892.13 Nathan SNOW and Elsie SHUE had the following children: +28 i. James M. SNOW. 29 ii. Rettie SNOW. 18. Leonard SNOW was born on 17 Mar 1820 in block house at Brewerton, NY.14,1 He signed a will on 3 May 1890 in T/Hastings, Oswego Co., NY.15 The last will testament of Leonard Snow of the town of Hastings, County of Oswego and State of New York. I, Leonard Snow, aware of the uncertainty of life, do hereby make, publish and declare this my last will and testament in the manner and form following, that is to say-- First: I give, devise, and bequeath all my real and personal property of all and every description to my two sons to be divided equally between them, share and share alike. This bequest to be received in payment in full of all and every claim or charge they or either of my said sons have or may have against me or my estate at my death. Likewise, I make, constitute and appoint George O. Elliott of the town of Hastings, County of Oswego, State of New York, to be executor of my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made. SNOW was born on 5 May 1838 in Hastings, Oswego Co., NY.18 He served in the military from 1862 to 1865 in Civil War.19 Albert J. Snow enlisted in Co. H., 149th NY Vols. on 3 Sep 1862 and served three years. He was severely wounded at Chancellorsville and was transferred to the Veteran Reserve Corps and assigned to Gen. Grant's or Hallock's headquarters at Washington, where he was a clerk for 15 months. He mustered out on 1 Sep 1865. He was married to Louise E. PALMER in 1868.20 They had five children. 28. James M. SNOW21,22 was born on 13 May 1851 in Central Square, Oswego Co., NY.23,24 He died on 13 Feb 1928 in Central Square, Oswego Co., NY.25 "On February 13, 1928, occurred the death of James M. Snow at his home at Central Square, N. Y. He was born May 13, 1851, on the farm where he died, his grandparents having been pioneer residents in this section. All his life had been spent on the same farm with the exception of a few years spent in Syracuse. "Mr. Snow had been a member of Fort Brewerton lodge, No. 256 F. & A. M., for 53 years. He was prominent in local political affairs, having been supervisor of the town of Hastings for two terms and Republican committeeman of his district for several years, which office he held at the time of his death. "He is survived by his wife, Rosella Snow, and three daughters, Elsie A. Snow of Syracuse, N. Y., Abigail Snow of Central Square, N. Y., and Mrs. Mark Bradbury of Syracuse, N. Y. "The funeral was held at the Central Square Baptist church today (Thursday, February 16), at 2: 00 p.m." Landmarks of Oswego County states that James M. Snow was born on the farm in Hastings.
