Hi, I am looking for any information on SNOW families who moved from Maine to Oswego Co., NY, in the 1800s, in addition to SNOW families in Oswego Co., New York. According to his death certificate, my ancestor, Hazen SNOW, was born in Portland, Maine, in 1810. He is in Oswego County, New York, by 1840 or 1841. He married Sarah MOON and had the following known children: Horace F. Snow (1840-1919) George Snow (1843-?) Julian Snow (1848-?) Linden W. Snow (1853-1920) Annitta (adopted) (1855-?) He married, second, around 1873, Mercy ____. Hazen died in East Palermo, Oswego Co., NY on 22 Sep 1887. In 1841, Hazen SNOW sold property to Thomas SNOW, and in 1861, he sold property to Isaac SNOW. In the 1850 Census, a Hiram SNOW (ae 19) appears in the same household as Hazen (ae 40). Relationship to and among these individuals is unknown.
