Could you check to see if he is in the DAR index? He later left the Montgomery County, Virginia area and moved to Roane County, Tennessee by-way-of Carter’s Valley in Upper East Tennessee. He settled before 1799 near present day Oliver Springs, Roane County, Tennessee. We are not sure of his wife's name but it has been identified as both Jane and Elizabeth.
