Hello, If I may jump in on this conversation, I would like to correct a couple of errors in the facts about the Frost Snow line (my line). Frost Snow Jr. b. c1756 married Elizabeth Ballard in 1783 in Albemarle Co., VA. Frost Snow Sr. b.c1730 married Elizabeth Johnson, daughter of John and Elizabeth Davis Johnson. Their marriage date is unknown but is c 1755. They did not move to Surry Co., NC until 1786/87. The Fortner/Forkner surname given as the wife of (variously) Frost Sr. or Jr. comes from mistaken information that a descendant gave many, many years ago who did indeed have a grandmother named Forkner, but it was not on the Snow side of her family. Over the years, unfortunately, this mistaken information has become accepted as fact.
