He has passed away. I got them at an estate sale. > > Prominent Cherokees--- > > Martha Patsy Snow, born Aug. 20, 1813, died Sept. 9, 1877, was the daughter of Benjamin Snow and she applied for a War Pension at Fayetteville, Ark. on account of her father. > Hello, I can't help but wonder about Martha Snow.....even though there's a wide age difference....here's why: We have a David Nelson MONTGOMERY born abt 1829, McMinn Co., TN, who died after 1865 and is supposed to be buried in Benton Co., Arkansas, who married #1 Mary Jane SNOW, born Nov 4, 1833, place unknown, daughter of Capt. William T. SNOW and Mary Emily MONGER. We don't know when she died. They married Sept 19, 1850, possibly in Snow Hill, Hamilton Co., TN. Now, David's second wife was named MARTHA ??, and we heard an old family rumor that he got himself into some sort of trouble and had to leave TN, so moved to ARK. The Martha mentioned in the above 'estate sale find' was born in 1813, which would make her about the age to be a sister to Capt. Snow, not a daughter. Maybe, there's still a connection. I'll try to check this out, meanwhile, if somebody out there sees something I've missed, please let me know. Thanks, Karen Foster Montgomery Sugar Land, TX
