Actually, the name should be Moses Moran Snow and he was a Pvt in the Pedernales Home Guard. He and Mr. Lundy were mistakenly thought to be "bushwackers" and were killed by a company of State Militia under the command of Capt. Dorbandt of Burnet Co. Now that I have cleared my gg grandfather's name on this list <big grin>, does anybody know of his family. Moses appears in Hopkins Co, TX in 1855 when he married Aley Pruit. They soon moved to Blanco Co, (Kerr Co) TX to join Aley's family. Their children were Jesse, Sarah, Mary Jane and Moses, female, born the day after her father was killed. I have found Moses in the 1850 Murray Co, GA census. His parents were Jesse and Sarah Snow. His siblings living at home at that time were Frances (Swinney), Elizabeth, Sarah, and Nancy. Other Snows living nearby were Henley and Levie, who could have been brothers to Moses. Any additional information would be most appreciated.
