    3. A bigger question is how was the Richard Snow of Woburn, MA (tax list 1645) related to the Barnstaple (That's the way it's spelled in Devon.) Richard Snow (b. 1608)? I used to think they were the same, but there is evidence now that they are probably now. The Barnstaple Richard may be related to Nicholas, but it must be further on back. There are other Richard Snows in parishes near Barnstaple including, Hartland, Gloucester, etc., but where did our Massachusetts Richard Snow come from and who were his parents? And how does the Barbados Richard Snow (ship Expedition 1635 from Gravesend, England) fit into the picture? We don't know what happened to that Richard. Did he go on up to Woburn, MA? If so, where did he meet and marry Avis/Anis and where were their first sons, John and James, born? There have been lots of suppositions and false info circulated (some by me before I knew better), but so far I haven't found any real links of the Woburn Richard Snow to any Richard Snow in England. Does anyone have any real evidence supporting claims either way? My family and I have had a major project underway for years trying to find this link. I happen to be descended from Richard Snow (Woburn, 1645) on my Snow line and Nicholas Snow (Mayflower connection) on my Baker line, but how closely, if at all, they were related in England remains to be seen.
