    2. See below. --------------------- Forwarded message: From: nelita@flash.net (nelita snow) Reply-to: nelita@flash.net To: PESnow@AOL.COM Date: 97-11-09 21:49:09 EST You are quite welcome, I found that I had two of these. You do not 'owe' me anything..these little books by Schweitzer are really great - I have about 6 different States, and happened to buy a second one without realizing I already had one. They are great to take on a trip - maybe one of these days you will go to North Carolina! Enjoy. I am going through some old files, weeding out and trying to make a little room. Forgot about having a little info ref Thomas and Elizabeth Snow, Book A, Roane Co., Tn. I got this years ago in Nashville, at the TN State Library and Archives. July session, 1818, Roane Co., Tn Elisabeth Snow apptd admx of Estate of Thomas Snow, deceased. p. 113, July session 1818 List of pers ppty, but not listed in this record. 27 July 1818. Reported the sale of his property November, 1818, Eliz. was apptd. Adminstrx. July of 1818. List of pers ppty filed July 118, p 113.(No list of ppty given in this.) Might be interesting to see who bought the property. Sale of ppty Nov. 1818, and then Eliz. Snow given a year's support. When I located this, I did not know who these folks were, but was gathering any and all things Snow-related which I came across. I know a lot more today than I did then! Thankfully. You are a big help, keep up the good work, we will find more as we go. nelita@flash.net

    3. Does anyone have any SNOWS in northern Kentucky, in Boone, Kenton, Pendleton, or Bracken Counties. William SNOW died in Pendleton Co, KY in 1879. He had signed for many of his daughters to marry in this county. We think that his father was James, but that is just a guess. James could be his brother. His wife, Mary McPherson is said to be buried in Pendleton Co. near Butler. We have reached a dead end on this family. Any help would be appreciated. Jack jdmcg@worldnet.att.net

    2. Harold Helm
    3. Obediah/Larkin SNOW family in NC USA From:hamner@mindspring.com> I am working on the James SNOW who married Anna NORMAN in Wilkes Co NC in 1850. They had three children: Thomas SNOW, Ancil Hilary SNOW, and Martin Van Buren SNOW. I suspect that this Anna was his second wife. I do not have any information as to his death date although Anna appears alone (with children) in the 1870 Census of Surry Co., NC. Don't have her death date either. I also believe that James SNOW, husband of Anna Norman is the son of Larkin SNOW (who is the son of Obediah SNOW), but have not been able to prove that either. Printed sources say this but provide no proof. We would really appreciate having the citations. Thanks Sharon Please post connections per SNOW surname (or variant) first per Subject line format: SNOW, James 1850 Wilkes Co., NC USA or generally per Subject: SNOW, firstname & key YEAR & LOCATION/country < fill in actual data Mail To: SNOW-L@rootsweb.com with explicit detail in body of message, please - thanks CHANGE a Subject line to reply per above format if prior post failed :) P.S. Please always try to place the SURNAME of that SURNAME group or the variant spelling of that SURNAME so that it is always the FIRST WORD in the SUBJECT line of any post (country the last) Thanks For this posting the first word of Subject line should be SNOW If posting URLs please excerpt on topic data with proper credits :) Thank you.

    1. Snow, William, Rowan Co., NC, 1790
    2. Good morning cuzzins, While cruising the internet yesterday, I found a William Snow in the 1790 census of Rowan Co., NC. He had a 3 0 3 0 0 numerical sequence. That means 3 males over 16 years of a age and 3 females. Could this have been the same William Snow, whose children sold his land (supposedly upon his death) in March 1796 in Stokes Co, NC, just two counties to the north (at least in today's geography)? It is said that Ms. Eltrie Snow Beil has a copy of the deed to that property. I would like a copy of that documentation. Can anyone help? Regards, Phillip
