Volume Six Family of Stephen Hopkins Published by General Society of Mayflower Descendants. 1992. 713 pages with every name index and place index. This volume may be obtained by writing the GSMD, 4 Winslow Street, Plymouth, MA 02360. The first edition was $35.00 and since then a 2nd edition has been issued & not sure if the price went up. It is a very well written book and is part of a series now up to 12- 15 volumes all dealing with Mayflower passengers. The eventual goal of the Five Generation Project is to issue volumes for all Mayflower passengers. Unlike many family histories these books are well documented with sources listed at the end of each entry. The volumes are found at most county level genealogy libaries, may be loaned through the New England Genealogical and Historical Society if you are a member. At this point it would be helpfull to know how you determined that the Rueben Smith and Phebey Snow who removed to Sandisfield, MA are indeed our Rueben and Pheby from Eastham. Do you have any documentation to link these folks together? If so, would appreciate knowing what were, as I have long suspected that they might be this couple. If we can document that the Phebe (Snow) Smith was indeed b. 6 Mar 1750 then its very possible that she is the dau. of Samuel (4) Snow, Jabez (3-2), Constance & Nicholas (1) and his wife Elizabeth (Freeman). If this is correct and hopefully documentation can be found in Probate to confirm, you would have added several generations to the Snow Family of Nicholas and Constance (Hopkins) Snow genealogy. Samuel Snow and Elizabeth are second cousins . It can not be our Phebe (Snow) Smith as she is identified on p. 104 (above) having passed on in 1815. Your information indicates 29 Mar 1826 is the death date of Reubin. However, the entry does say Mrs. Reubin which could be the wife of the other Reubin who m. Jemina House. It also could be a scribner's error for Mr. Reubin Smith, if you add 79 years to Reubin Smith birth you come up with a death year of 1826. I suspect it is a death record for Jemina House who m. a Reubin Smith. <One would have to go back to the original records and review the entry, or check with cemetery records of Sandisfield if they have been printed. Did not find any other Death entries for any Reubin Smith in the Sandisfield VR a copy of which is part of my home library. The Sarah Snow who married Samuel Smith was born 13 Feb 1712 at Eastham, and was a daughter of Stephen Snow ( son of Joseph, who was son of Nicholas Snow and Constance Hopkins and his wife Mary possibly a daughter of John Higgins and Mary Yates...her parentage is not proven , but is generally noted as such; marital intentions 25 Sept 1736. Samuel Smith is called "junior" in the records .He is not identified otherwise. Their Son, Reuben born 9 March 1746/7 married a Phoebe Snow , but I have no other data on that couple; If you do, I would be happy to have it. I can give you Sarah's line from Nicholas and Constance Hopkins Snow who were her great grandparents. Joseph is in my direct line as well....... The Sarah born Plymouth ca 1632 was daughter of Nicholas Snow and Constance Hopkins , born at Plymouth, on 25 Feb. 1654/5 married William Walker; I can give you more on these families. The Sarah Snow born 20 March 1703/4 was a daughter of Nicholas Snow ( Mark, Nicholas Snow ) she was born at Harwich,Ma. still living 22 March 1758. She married Nathan Hammond born there 1 April 1699, son of Nathan Hammond and Alice Pope. She was remembered in the 1751 will of her father. They resided in Rochester.She had no other marriage.

I have that Sarah Snow b. 30 March 1703/4 Eastham, MA and Samuel Smith b. 21 May 1696 Eastham, MA were the parents of Reuben. I think the names of the parents is correct but I think I have the wrong parents for both Sarah Snow and Samuel Smith. Samuel Smith was b. 21 May 1696 Eastham, MA and I have his parents as John Smith and Bethia Snow. If this is incorrect can anyone tell me who his parents were? Sarah Snow was b. 30 March 1703/4 Eastham, MA and I have her as daughter of Nicholas Snow and Lydia Shaw. Hello, Is anyone descended from Mahala Snow and David Boylston from Maryland? I have seen her parents listed as Jabez Snow and Elizabeth Paine, but recently saw her parents given as John Snow and Elizabeth Hudson. HELP!!! Linda Shay
