Ken, Sorry, I overlooked your reference to William.. He and Richard have no known connection, my apologies. Also no know connection to nicholas Snow either... I have a little bit on William and his arrival..with his brother circa 1638 As I remember; Would you like me to look that up or do you have that data already? Regards, Donna Snow crouthamel.
Saw the prior note from Ken Johnson after I wrote you. His Benjamin is not connected to Nicholas Snow, but is from the line of William Snow who arrived in the colonies about 1638 with his brother and settled in the bridgewater area.... there was also a Richard Snow who arrived about the same time, but there is no known connection to them or to Nicholas either. Nicholas arrived aboard the ANNE in 1623 and was at the Plymouth Colony where he married Constance Hopkins, daughther of Stephen Hopkins of the Mayflower. he was baptized in 1599. in England .I have that data if you would like it , son of nicholas Snow.... Nicholas with 7 other men and their families were the founders of eastham, MA where Nicholas was the first town clerk and was suceeded by his eldest son, Mark..... regards, Donna Snow Crouthamel
PS..William Snow is a different line also..but arrived about the same time as Richard. They are not connected . Donna Snow crouthamel
It sounds like these persons are from the line of Richard Snow who settled in the Bridgewater area circa 1638 or so. He is not my Snow line ( I am from NicholasSnow/Constance Hopkins, no known connection to Richard) but I do have a little on him. What do you need ? Regards, Donna Snow crouthamel
Hi. I am a direct dewsc of nicholas Snow and Constance Hopkins through their son Joseph and am descended from other of their children also. I have their daughter Sarah married to WILLIAM Walker, not Richard... see Mayflower Descendants 5 :23; See also Mayflower Families Through 5 Generations, Vol. 6: Stephen Hopkins ; page 17 , #8: Sarah Snow, daughter of Nicholas Snow and Constance Hopkins ( daughter of Stephen of the Mayflower) married William Walker 25 Feb. 1654/5 at Eastham. William was born circa 1620 in England and died at eastham shortly before 25 Oct 1703 when his will was probated . He is probably the one of that name who arrived on the ship ELIZABETH in 1635, age 15 years. He was at Hingham in 1643. He was admitted as a freeman of the Plymouth colony on 3 june 1656. They lived near Sarah's parents on the north bank of the pond at Eastham. Williams' will was dated 8 march 1697 and mentions wife Sarah, sons William and Jabez ( 2 sons had died) and daughter Elizabeth Walker. Will was proved 25 Oct. 1703. Daughter Sarah ( wife of benjamin Lumbart) had died by that time as well. I have some information on the first 5 generations and on Nicholas as well if you would be interested. Regards, Donna Snow Crouthamel
>To: kjohnson@iowa health.net >From: Barb Klecker <bklecker@pressenter.com> >Subject: Snows > - My acestory follows the Nicholas Snow line (Mayflower) whose dughter Sarah married RIchard Walker (Pilgirm) can you connect Benjamin to Nicholas as the time period and area are the same?

I am looking for any information available on MARTHA JANE SNOW who is my direct descendant. Very little info is available about her. In fact, all I know is listed below: Martha Jane SNOW, b. 4/10/1844 in KY? d 3/18/1924 m. Charles Holbert ELLER on 12/19/1859 in Burnett Co, TX. Charles was b. 9/21/1835 in Boonville, Cooper Co, MO and d. Apr 19, 1922 in Canadian, Hemphill Co., TX. If anyone out there has a clue as to who Martha was I would be most appreciative! Folks - If the list owner permits this to be transmitted since the subject matter does involve ancestors and descendants - family history and genes and inheritance - past and future generations, etc. I encourage you all to: Watch the five part Bill Moyers PBS special Close to Home - Moyers on Addiction to be aired Sunday, Monday & Tuesday - March 29, 30 & 31. Check your local listings for the time. Its very powerful. It's very informative. Let's hope it will start changes which can lead to a solution of the most critical, costly, misunderstood and most unaddressed problem facing society today. If any one wishes to blast (flame) me for my presumptious topical stretch, please do so privately since I don't want to start a public discussion or problems for the list owner. Thanks John Tallman
