If anyone lives on the route from Memphis to Carroll Co. and would be interested in meeting, please contact me before August. I'm very anxious to see where some of my family came from. Ruth Cornett

    1. [SNOW-L] Records of Immigrants to Canada
    2. Hi everyone, For those of you who are researching ancestors in Canada, ancestry.com added a new data base today that might be of help. The data base is free for 10 days from being added. The site is listed on the right hand side of the screen, so all you need to do is double click under it and when the screen comes up, type in the surname you are researching. Below is the url and data discription. Ruth in NC e-mail: RLugowski@aol.com Rootsweb Donor NGS Member URL: http://www.ancestry.com Records of Immigrants to Canada Description: Historically, Canada has been the destination for millions of immigrants from around the world seeking a better life in North America. Compiled from a variety of sources, this database is a collection of over 83,000 records between 1780 and 1906 relating to immigrants to Canada. Researchers will find the name of the immigrant and year and source of the original record. The entries in this database are not complete transcriptions of the original records; an e-mail link is provided at the bottom of each results page for those who would like to purchase a more detailed electronic transcript for a particular entry. This database can be immensely helpful for researchers with Canadian ancestors. We will periodically be adding more Canadian immigration data to our online library, so return to Ancestry.com often.

Parents are alive in 1850 with children at home but not in 1850 census for states of Ct.,Ma., and RI. In 1851 Mary Snow m. Elisha Fenton, in 1878 Almira m. Joseph Dow as his second wife. Elias and Hannah are living in Ashford Ct. in 1871 and are buried in Ashford, CT. I found in the Ashford v.r. Philander Wyllys m. Harriet M. Snow Jan. 1, 1843. Harriet is not in Elias's family. Would like to find her parents, etc. Trying to see if Harriet is related to Mary and Almira. Also from Elias's pension records, I couldn't make out the spelling of Hannahs surname. It looked like Willry but then thought maybe she was a Wyllys. I looked again today but it still looks like Willry. Does anyone know? Will be glad to share all I have. April
