Is anyone researching stray, unattached, or even known SNOW people or families from these locations, about 1790-1850?

Sorry, Elizabeth A. Snow daughter of Jesse Moran Snow and Sarah was born in 1821 in GA. Mike
My Great Grandmother was Elizabeth C. Snow. She was born in 1845, place unknown, she was known to be in Marianna, Lee County, Arkansas, in the summer of 1867. She married Christopher C. Ray January 19. 1874. She died in 1875 in Boone County, Arkansas. Could she be the daughter of Jessie and Sarah Snow? Hugh Jefferson Dallas, Texas
Actually, the name should be Moses Moran Snow and he was a Pvt in the Pedernales Home Guard. He and Mr. Lundy were mistakenly thought to be "bushwackers" and were killed by a company of State Militia under the command of Capt. Dorbandt of Burnet Co. Now that I have cleared my gg grandfather's name on this list <big grin>, does anybody know of his family. Moses appears in Hopkins Co, TX in 1855 when he married Aley Pruit. They soon moved to Blanco Co, (Kerr Co) TX to join Aley's family. Their children were Jesse, Sarah, Mary Jane and Moses, female, born the day after her father was killed. I have found Moses in the 1850 Murray Co, GA census. His parents were Jesse and Sarah Snow. His siblings living at home at that time were Frances (Swinney), Elizabeth, Sarah, and Nancy. Other Snows living nearby were Henley and Levie, who could have been brothers to Moses. Any additional information would be most appreciated. Looking for anything on a Alvah B.SNOW or a William F. SNOW. Both were in Gardiner ME in 1870-1880 period. William worked at the freight depot for the M.C.R.R. there and Alvah was a logger. Alvah was born abt. 1850 and married a Charlotte Braun in Maine. William F. "may" have been Alvah's father. Trying to find a connection between them. Alvah left in 1880 went to Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Australia and died in Burma in 1923. Interesting fact that he was Knighted by Queen Victoria in Australia. Anything on either Snow would be appreciated. Dutch

NY. marr Prairie Center IL 1858 Sarah H. Butler. All desc. have been traced. No desc. so far located know anything of their Palmer/Snow ancestors this far back. None of the above children's names except for Ephraim seem to relate in any way to the family of Thomas F. Palmer. So I have struggled with the source of these names, hoping that they would provide clues to the names of Rebeckah's parents. So far not too much luck. Still, I remained convinced that they must relate to Rebeckah's ancestors. I found in the 1820 Warsaw NY federal census, living next door to Thomas F. Palmer and his wife, Rebeckah Snow Palmer is SAMUEL SNOW. He has a wife and small children. I have assumed that this Samuel was a brother of Rebeckah. I have yet to find anyne possibly desc. from this Samuel Snow listed in the 1820 Warsaw census. And so briefly that is about all that I know. I went to Providence RI and did research into the family of William Snow, a resident there with an extensive family history at the Prov. Historical Society, but this search did not bear fruit at this point. Your further ideas are welcome. Peter Burrows, Annapolis MD (800) 521-6211.

I have hit a dead end here with my SNOW search. The names that I have are an Alvin Joe Snow b. 18 June 1935 in Weathers Ok D 10 Oct 1988 in NC. His father was a Taft Snow b 28 July 1910 d 29 Dec 1990 in Bay City Texas area. On his Social Security Application it states Blackrock,Ok as his place of birth. It states his parents as Joe Snow and Mary Bowen. Now on his brothers social security applications they vary on parents: Henry Floyd Snow states that John Snow and Mary Katherine Bowins is his parents Ben Snow states John Snow and Mary Katherine Bowins Sam Williams Snow states Henry Snow and Mary Bowen. This info. was posted on another list I'm on. Seems like a good idea to me. The year 2000 is a Census Year. Most of the census will be taken by mail. After you have filled out your census form why not make a copy of it and file with your important (genealogy) papers. Then your family will not have to wait 70 years to learn about you.
