Sure wish someone could help with William Frederick SNOW born Feb 1858, Madison , New York. Madison County Historian has him as William Frederick SNOW, I have him as William Freeman SNOW. I have ( 2 ) marriage licenses that list my William F. SNOW born Feb 1858 in Madison, New York. His parents are William and Mary Snow listed in the 1860 census for Madison, New York. Strange that my William F. SNOW named his first son Frederick SNOW. Now why would he do that unless he was indeed William Frederick SNOW himself. My father has his middle as FREEMAN, but no one has any doc's that list the middle name other than the int F, no one ever ever saw this man, and he was dead before my father was ever born. Anyone know of this William Frederick SNOW from New York. I can sure use some help with this man of WONDER ! Thanks For Any Help, Kathy.

However, that Martha Snow died in 1740. The same couple had another daughter, named Martha, christened in Lancaster in 1742. She married Joseph Houghton in 1762 in Lancaster. They had three children in Bolton, MA in that decade. There was a Joseph Houghton in Pownal, VT in 1790; by 1800 the census lists only a younger Joseph Houghton and a Marth (Snow?) Houghton. Our family history says that our Benjamin Houghton (died in Pownal, VT 1855, at age 63), was the son of the above Joseph Houghton and Martha Snow Houghton. Need to know where and when Benjamin was born. Which Joseph Houghton was his father--there were several around Lancaster, Harvard, Bolton and Leominster, MA at the same time. Were the Joseph and Martha Houghton in Pownal, VT really the same ones who were married in Lancaster in 1762. Thanks. Jane Woodward

I am trying to locate a William Fletcher Snow. He was born in KY in 1841 and by 1860 had moved to Prairie Co., AR & died in 1905. I cannot find his parents or family. Suanne Eshleman
My brickwall is James F Snow b abt 1787 place unknown. May have married Sarah Thompson in Georgia. Census shows him in 1820 in Williamson, Tenn with several sons. In 1840 he is in Crawford Co Ark where he died in the late 1840s. Two of his sons were Randolph b abt 1815 in Tenn and Henry Snow b Jan 9, 1823 in Bedford ,Tenn. Most of the boys went to Lamar Co Texas by 1850 including Henry. Another possible son was Eli Snow. The Arkansas Snows really spread out and are hard to research. Yvonne Simpson
My brickwall is John Snow, Sr., who was born in NC (c1790) and died in Meigs Co., TN in 1845. Some say he was Ebenezer's nephew, some say Eb's brother and some say he was from the Orange/Green Co., VA line. Ebenezer came to TN about the same time as John did and Ebenezer's lines came to Newton Co., AR about the same time that mine came to neighboring Carroll Co., AR. Phillip Snow
Zach was son of Moses. Married a Mary Lovejoy and lived in Milo ME area. Had 4 children I believe. He was born 1824 and died 1903. Looking for anything more on him as well as verification of his children. Thank you Dutch

Good morning fellow Snow researchers, My Snow research has halted at Hazen SNOW, b. 1810 Portland, ME; d. 1887 Palermo, Oswego Co., NY. He married at least twice: Sarah MOON (probably in the 1830's) and then married a Mercy ____ in the early 1870's. He may have married a Phoebe FINCH first, making the number of wives three, and he may be the father of Hiram SNOW, b. 1830 Cayuga Co., NY; d. 1914 Oswego Co., NY. My line comes down through Hazen and Sarah (MOON) SNOW and their son Linden SNOW and Elizabeth KENYON. I can find no mention of him in Maine. Any experienced Maine researchers who have clues - I would gladly accept them! Kim

IF YOU CAN HELP ME, PLEASE CONTACT ME DIRECT. MANY THANKS The dates you list could certainly relate to the Samuel Snow that I am seeking, and who is listed in the Warsaw, Wyoming Co. NY 1820 Census. This Samuel was likely b. 1790 +/- either Providence RI or vic. of Broadalbin or Galway NY, and a brother of Rebeckah Snow. Both probably children of Joseph Snow & ___? And Joseph Snow may have been desc. from a William Snow, who was at Providence and had an extended family there. So keep in touch and let me know if you learn any further details.
