Date: Fri, 24 Jan 2003 18:10:13 -0600 After getting everything figured out the final opening page of the Bath County Site will be http://www.rootsweb.com/~kybath/bathcounty.html There was some confusing e-mail sent to me along with a bit of ignorance from me. (Mostly working on this at 2 am) The above website ....... I promise....... will not change and you are safe to book mark it. Thanks for the interst in the surname registry. I have recieved many names and it is looking so good and I have recieved many positive comments about it. http://rootsweb.com/~kybath/surnames-registry.html If you haven't sent yours in please do so. Remeber this is our site I just do the work. Please feel free to suggest anything that may make this site better!!!!!!! I have added a new page to the website. It has to do with vital records. You will find it at http://rootsweb.com/~kybath/vital_records_information.html I know I am always using the sites I have listed. If there are other sites that you use and you think it would be helpful to others please let me know what they are so I can add them in. Please e-mail me and let me know what you think about the vital records page. As for me.... yes I may be a bit excited and going a bit overboard on our site but I see something that all of us can grow into something special. I have been looking at a lot of the other Kentucky county sites and I really would like to see us the best county site of all. As you will notice I don't use a lot of frills on the page. I try to keep it simple to load and easy to understand. Just a short story here that may make your skin crawl. I went to a psycic (spelling) fair with a lady friend of mine last week and sat down in a booth to have a reading. I think I freaked the lady out. Her face got real serious and finally she came out with what here feelings were. Quote: I have never met anyone that is surrounded by death the way that you are. Don't be alarmed but death surrounds you. I don't understand but it appears that there are many folks that have past over that watch over you. I told her that I spend at least an hour of every day dealing with people that have died. I told her that I am a Geanealogist. After explaining what a geanealogist was she sat back with an odd look on her face. To make this story short..... I am not sure who was more taken back by this. Her or me!!!!! Maybe what we do is noticed by our ancestors that have gone before us. Maybe it is all a buch of bunk. I will let you decide for yourself. As for me.......you ha!d to be there......Take care and be well,>Darrell _________________________________________________________________ MSN 8 with e-mail virus protection service: 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/virus
