All of you out there who have John R. Smothers on their Tree !!While checking out Rutherford County TN. I found a list of the Citizens From DAVIDSON AND WILLIAMSON Counties Of TN. Requesting the Establishment of Rutherford County Tn, Aug 10 1803 ---on this list was JOHN SMOTHERS SR and JOHN SMOTHERS JR. Dont know if this was my John Smothers or not??My John Smothers Married Catherine Sherwood in Davidson Co. in 1803 .So it could have been him--He later Married Mima Ridley 1838 Have to check some more!!! I did get this from Rutherford Co,Gen.Site.... RON John R. Smothers married Mima Ridley March 18, 1836 in Rutherford County. Surety was Moses G Reeves.
