This is mine and Debbie Langton's [England]..4th generation grand father..William Smithers aka Bill or wild Bill Smothers that went to Tx when he was about 60 yrs old. Yes, he lst married Fitzpatrick, then later Winters where our 3rd gen grandfather came from-John Bate Smothers sr. Betsy Smothers m. John Berry and thus began the Berry line [Eva's line] Elizabeth m. George Statler, there were 3 more girls..Jane m. Daniel Grass, Margarita m. Enoch Berry [brother to John] and Mary, who did not marry but took care of a nephew James, whom we have yet to figure out where he comes from. We dont know exactly who was William Smithers,Smeathers,Smothers' dad.except a Smithers...there is also big debates going on with the Hite's and Chrisman's and Dubois about this Smithers marrying an Anna Marie Dubois Hite....however whomever these two were, they began our line in we think, VA around 1730...when they were born.
