I don't have any data on Elijah/Elisha's marriage to Mary Magness of Nancy Jane Neal/McNeal at all and it sounds to me like this Jean does descend from Elisha and Sarah in this instance. Wonder what makes her think that she's connected to John and Catherine Smothers? Did this line migrate to Baxter Co., too. If so, I didn't reallize that.
