Sound familiar to anyone out there?? From: Don Smithers <[email protected]> Date: Mon, 02 Apr 2001 09:12:21 -0500 > It is really tough trying to trace the Smithers line, especially since there are so many variations of spelling -- Smithers, Smeathers, Smothers and Smither and who knows how many others. Here is what I have come up with -- Joseph Smithers, b.abt 1800 in Delaware married Eura Drake, Sep 5, 1827 in Warren, OH. Their children were -- 1. Amy Ann, b.1829 2. David, b.1830 3. Abner, b.1831 4. Harriet, b.1834 5. Joseph, b.1838 6. Alexander, b. May 3,1843 d. April 21, 1903 in Cleveland Co., OK -- this was my grandfather 7. Benjamin F., b.1845 8. William, b.1849 Alexander Smithers m. Ellen Forrest Burge Jan 30, 1879 in Muhlenburg County, KY - their children were - Joseph, b. Apr 27, 1880 d. Mar 1967 Lilly, b. Mar 6, 1888 d. May 1, 1986 Claude, b. unknown d. 1918 Elmer, b. Feb 11, 1895 d. Oct 29, 1972 in Norman, Cleveland Co., OK - This was my father As you can see my information is quite limited. I would appreciate any information you might have as there may be some connection.>Thanks, >Don Smithers >Sugar Land, TX >[email protected] >Donald L.
