Found some new conections in my Family..Also checking out all the Smothers I can find in Iowa..Found my G-Grandfather James Smothers and his Brother Edmond Smothers --But of coarse they got it under ---Edward Smothus I had to go through all of Elk CO. IA. to find him I new he was there but they had him spelled wrong also found Isaac Smuthers Wife Mary & Family also from TN. Cant find out where he fits in the family yet????? Napolen B. Smothers (Mima Ridley) My GG-Grandparents Thats as far back as I can go...I am checking on the John Smothers & John Smothers Jr. from Rutherford Co. John R. was married 1803 in Nashville TN. Davidson Co. Rutherford Co. was part of that Co. And the letter I got said that John &John Jr, Smothers Lived there and voted to make Rutherford in to a Co. I am kind of hopeing that one of the John's is my John R.Smothers,,??There are some Sherwood And Ridley Family's there,,I am trying to find a connection ???? Keep up all the good work RON
