Her death record stated that she was consort of James Brady Yet in my hand is a normal looking marraige certificate dated 30 Oct 1851. Can anyone explain what being his consort means? [mistress] About the other siblings of Joseph and Eldrige. Younger Brothers Andrew J. and William Ward came along with Joseph and their parents William and Sarah(Smothers) to Davis co. Iowa. William Ward went on to Lancaster, Miami,Kansas. A Andrew J. Hopkins Is in Howell co. Mo in 1886. I don't know that this is the same Andrew J. Candy your recolection that Josephs wife Aseneath stayed in Indiana is interesting. I searched diligently in Indiana for a record of divorce or death with no result. (That was how I found edridges dtr Aseneath.) I think that less probable with the Morris family ( I forget if its uncle or brother) living next door in the 1850 census of Davis co. What happened to Aseneath might be important in the understanding of the appearance of Sarah Hamner. Is it coincidence that she bought land adjacent to Joseph in 1846? In 1850 Joseph and Sarah were married in the home of Edmund D. Hamner. What was the relationship with Edmund D.??? We know Edmund had a sister Sarah A. However, Hamner researchers claim that this is the Sarah Hamner that married Jacob Siebert and died in bartholomew co. 1859. Can anyone shed some light on this??>Norm Hopkins _________________________________________________________________ Add photos to your messages with MSN 8.
