All I can tell yoiisClaud Elmer Smothers Married Bertha Westpfahl (My Grand Mother)on Sept1904 His first marriage stated on his Marr,Cert.Had one son with her-Sidney Earl Smothers (My Father) B. June 06 1906 --(Bertha died abt. 1907 in Ia.)Than left Earl with a Bro. JAMES Smothers in Wis. ( I have a letter that he was there at that time Elmer Claud Smothers as Stated on his marriage Cert. then married Myrtle Monroe Mar.12 1908( Also stated first marr,???)Had one son with her Cecil Bert Smothers Jan. 07 1909 Elmer Deserted Myrtle Jan 07 1910 (I think Myrtle Did not know about and was told on Cecils Birthday .They had a arguement and Claud went and picked up Earl left for Minn by another Bro. George Smothers Got a job at a packing plant and got lost till .jan.07 1912 he took Earl to Marinette Wis, To be adopted by Margaret( Helf ) & Adolph Prudhomme ( dont know where he Met them???)Never heard from again '' As for Cecil Myrtle married Mr. Haus Cecil took his stepfathers name..This Family my closest Kin is from Iowa Judy Smith Has all the info on them..But we still cant find out what happened to Grandpa Our Brick Wall RON
