Thanks Karen....I might have mentioned this but Potosi is where I lived before I moved to WA....I also do remember where this cemetery is as we use to pass it but then I was not into Genealogy.....doggone it! We use to go play baseball at the school yard on weekends. One of my kids was b in Abilene and all my maternal side lived there. But my Smothers were fr South Tx. Story about the Potosi Cemetery. The original 2 acre parcel of land for the Potosi Cemetery was originally owned by R. A. Pollard, father-in-law of Claude Smothers. R. A. Pollard was one of the early settlers of Potosi area. There is a very interesting little book called, "POTOSI, The First One Hundred Years." It tells all about the beginnings of Potosi and the surrounding area.
