I know there are some folks fr this line here......and I do remember these two were not married....did they EVER get married?....any of them? Does anyone have any info on the Mary 'polly' Smothers?...who she might have married, or did she.....bec I believe a young man from this line got ahold of me to get involved in the DNA project....however, his parents were not md either and he mentions his father was an Ernie Smothers b 1932 TN, and his father was a James Wesley Smothers b 1875 Tn and his mother was Mary 'polly' Smothers, who I believe to be the dau/of Nancy and John. Guess this young man recently found out his father was a Smothers as he died when this fella was only 14mos old and obviously his mother attached her maiden name to him all these yrs.
