So many have asked me abt my brother, thought this the best way to answer. If you recall he did the DNA back in Nov and will be one of the TX Smothers we will be matching against when the Smothers Project results come in. He is 2 yrs younger than me [I am 60y next month]...and just recovering fr heart attack abt 9 wks ago. He lives west of me here in WA abt 150mi close to Wenatchee. He has been md 35+y and has 2 grown children and 5 grandchildren. He and & are the last of our generation in our family [well, we do have a half sister that lives in Tx which he has never seen and she was 9mos old when our father died and was last time I saw her-she is md with 2 sons & is almost 34y]. I recently had word from Ron Prudhomme in Florida and his surgery went well [he also has cancer] and on the mend. Prayers are asked for all. Thanks for your kindness and patience, Nena Hi, Sis.>Sorry I haven't been in touch. Had a really rought last week and first part of this week. Chemo just knocked the hell out of me. Really sick. But, chemo now over for two weeks, and am rejuvenating. Starting to feel good again and eating again. Didn't eat all last week but absolute minimum. Lost about 20 pounds. Now down to about 170. Haven't weight that much since my logging days back in the 1970s. But, am beginning to feel good again. Next round of chemo starts the 24th. Doc says maybe won't have to have the one big shot that made me so sick this time. Fear is if get too sick again, won't be able to recover in time for the surgery. Want me strong for the surgery. I wouldn't wish this on any person alive. Still have all my hair. Am starting to feel good again and have my appetite back. Getting exercise again. Working outside in the sunshine in the yard cleaning winter's leavings and getting ready for Spring. All for now.
