    3. Hi Debby I'm curious about the Pinkstons. Have you done much research on them? Have you ran across a Gilford Pinkston (b1831) in Carroll Co., Tennessee? Think he is related to your Sina Pinkston? Also, in the early 1900s, I have a Paula Pinkston that married into my Blankenship line in Sharp Co., Arkansas. Are you aware of any of the Carroll Co. 3. Hi guys Yes, Bill Smothers referred this lady to me......she descends from George Sinor, Martha Smothers Sinor's oldest son. I have just today emailed her and sent her a photograph of Martha and her Sinor family. I'm not that familiar with her direct line.......but, have corresponded with her brother; Billy Sinor in the past and he is a wonderful researcher and a nice man, that has some published genealogical articles on the Sinors in military history. He also is the Chief of the Lousiana Cherokees. Her name is Loretta Sinor Scott. By the way, Nena.......did I ever send you my line? I guess that I did, but don't remember. Just let me know...... 3. Thanks EJ for posting this data on this couple. I had so many Green Smothers' in my database that it was getting silly! LOL It helped me get them all straightened out, so appreciate it. Like Jan, I had one of the Green's attached to Elisha (b1800) and per Jan's journal that surfaced, then that could not be correct. Also, I had one of them as being the Green B. that is buried in the Lexington National Cemetery in Kentucky (Per a past post of Karen's.).......so, that particular gentleman remains a mystery. BUT......I noticed that you said that Green B. Smothers was the fifth child of John and Rebecca's.......so, I must have their children all out of wack. Would either you or Ed care to post John and Rebecca's children? I could post what I have, but I would seriously hate to confuse everyone. 3. I don't think that's the "Green" Martha married. My 91 year old mother just knows "he was called 'Green'". I don't have any other information, other than he was murdered in a shooting. That's the only clues I have. I found a William C. "Green" Smothers who was from Franklin County, Illinois, but I'm just now sure. Sorry. 3. Hi Glenda! How could I forget? LOL I have to admit that it is quite a story that involves your Nancy Smothers and John Pinkston.......and to think that the two families intermarried so much. Wouldn't you have liked to have been a little bird listening to the conversations that surrounded this woman's life? The Pinkstons and the Smothers'...... Oh well....... After I started to check my records, I saw that your Martha Townsend was also married to a Green Smothers. Isn't that right? Do you think that he could be the Green B. Smothers that is buried in the Lexington Cemetery that died on April 3, 1864? Or do you have some clues that you could send my way? Appreciate it, Bernie

    3. E J Sims, do you know who Green B. Smothers Parents are ? In the LDS Files, Green is listed as the first child of Elisha ( b 1800) and Sarah Smothers. Those same files (LDS) show Greens spouse as Martha ? born 1828 Carroll, TN. Lists 3 ch. Frances b. 1846-Mary H. b. 1847-Nancy C. b. 1849- all ch. born Carroll, TN. I have not found the connection, of Elisha being the Father of Green B. Elisha and Sarah are our direct line. I thank you for your help.Jan ----- Original Message ----- From: E. J.
