Nena and All on the Smothers list: I agree that everyone that does anything on the internet or receives email w/attachments thru the computer needs to have an anti-virus program. I, myself, purchased the Norton series but when my husband attempted to install in our new computer, it locked up. We never could figure out why. Instead, a friend told me about this website. He said for $29.99 a year, you could download an antivirus program and be kept informed about the lastest updates. I went to the site, downloaded the program, and the best part is, the price was reduced for a short time! So far, we've caught one bug and squished it! Don't want anyone to panic. I closed out and scanned my 19,322 files and they are virus free. I checked my log of viruses that Norton's is protecting my cpu from-its 48,104 virus' I have protection from which DOES include 4 versions of the virus W97M/Ethan that melba has. This is the 2nd time my Nortons has caught a virus from an attachment. I am getting very leery in accepting attachments if those sending do not have an anti-virus program and don't a bi-weekly scan and update like Nortons 2000 has. melba...when I went to view your attachment my antivirus program..Nortons 2000 caught a virus from your attachment..its called W97M/Ethan. sure hope you have an antivirus program to get rid of it. Sorry to bear bad news, but no way could I download that attachment.
