If you research a Smith line from Connecticut, New York, or Massachusetts you may be interested in the Smiths of CT, MA, and NY surname DNA project, which aims to identify Smith (Smithe, Smyth, and Smythe) families that lived in these states before the 20th Century. Participants who contribute the DNA sample (a simple cheek swab) need to be male Smiths. If you are a male Smith or have living male Smiths in your line -- maybe you'll see them during the holidays -- you may wish to participate directly or by recruiting a participant. If you'd like more information, please contact me at cgaziano@prodigy.net. We have a web page at http://smithconnections.com.
