BTW, my NY Smith emigrated to NYC before 1809 when he was married to Mary Ann Brownlee b in County Down, Ireland. From his death certificate, he died 1840 NYC, at the age of 55. Death cert says he was born in England but family history has him Scottish. He was a printer by trade. He and Mary Ann had 15 children all born in NYC.
