I seem to only know little on my Smith side of the family, but I know they came from Cootehill in County Cavan in Ireland and from a place called Lislea and a place that sounds like Corick, which are supposed to be in County Cavan too according to the parish records over here in the UK. I do not know of a Catherine Hickey, but there are many surnames that had married into my large family so it could be possible that there were ancestors with the surname Hickey related. I will not know to I get more details and thank you for contacting me about my Smith family.
