Matilda "Tillie" Aurand was listed in the 1920 census for Lewistown, PA as a widow (husband Harry died in 1910) living at 75 N. Pine St. Next door, at 95 N. Pine St. is a Grant O. (or D.) Smith with a 6-year-old son named William. In the 1922 city directory, Tillie is listed as Mrs. Charles Smith -- also a widow. In the 1930 census, she is listed as Tillie Aurand, living next door to Todd Smith Jr. (but clearly in separate households). Her obituary says only that she was married to Charles Smith.
