I am looking for information on my gg grandfather, Samuel Smith who was b. in OH. He was no longer on the census by 1860, but I did find him in Izard Co. ARK in 1850. It appears that an older man named John Smith might have been his father. This John was b. in VA. I do not have the info in front of me at this time, but think John was b. before 1800 and Samuel about 1810-20. Some of the family moved to Miller Co. MO by 1860. Samuel wife moved, as did his son John who was later in the Civil War. Two daughters moved for sure, maybe more. They were named Easter and Mary Ann. Mary Ann was my great grandmother who married widower, William Wilson Sloan. Any info helpful. Thanks, Ellie Swanger, CO
