Surnames: Smith, Combs Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/VJIBAEB/28006 Message Board Post: I'm in the process of researching the ancestry of the Smith family of Perry County Kentucky, and am wondering if the parents and more distant ancestors of Rev Richard Smith (b abt 1771) who married Nancy Alicia Combs (b abt 1772) are known today. There are conflicting indications of who Richard's parents were (some say his father was William Smith, others Samuel Smith), but I'm also interested in finding out if his grandparents (and so on) have been determined.
