Dynice of Mille [sic] road, Littleton Center, has just received notification from the adjutant general at Washington, D. C., that her husband, Corp. Stephen T. Dynice, listed as “missing in action” as of March 11, last, has been officially recorded as having been “killed in action” as of that date. Mrs. Dynice, the former Marion K. Smith, daughter of Postmaster and Mrs. Peter J. Smith of Mill road, received the following telegram appraising her of her husband's death: “I am deeply distressed to inform you corrected report just received states your husband, Corp. Stephen T. Dynice, who was previously reported missing in action was killed in action on 11 March in Germany. The secretary of war asks that I express his deep sympathy in your loss and his regret that unavoidable circumstances made necessary the unusual lapse of time in reporting your husband's death to you.
