Norma's parents were John and Elsie (WHITLEY) GRANT. Bills parents were Ed and Maude (CHAPMAN) SMITH. Bill's sister Gladys SMITH married Peter WANKEN and had one child Leland WANKEN. Bill's sister Goldie SMITH married Peter's brother _____ WANKEN. Maude SMITH was descended from New England CHAPMANs and EASTMANs. Maude's father came to Iowa via Oklhoma. Her mother may have been Cherokee born in Oklahoma.
