Their father, Captain Eugene Theodore SMITH, died of cholera in August 1861. Their mother, Margaret SHIBLEY. died of apoplexy the next day. Perhaps Andrew's name was changed. A thrid son, Eugene Theodore SMITH, was apparently raised in an orphanage. Their sister, Elizabeth was much older and already working as a milliner in 1861. She subsequently married Harry BULLARD, who owned a hattery. She did not have children. I have considerable information to share. Our Mayflower lineage has been accepted.
