I sent for a birth certificate (in Jackson) and was told there was none. However when I called back, the person at the Jackson office said there was one on file, but no one has sent me anything. They said they won't because I don't know my grandmother's maiden name. Her first husband was James Henry Smith, who died at 34. That's all I know about him. My parents were married in Milwaukee. I checked those records and there is no maiden name listed for Ruth. I'm not sure how to get a death certificate for Ira. I have no social security number. Re Bosarge: My aunt Annie Peal (Ira's sister) married and later divorced Roy Bosarge. He had a construction company and a shrimping boat. These are all things my mom can remember, not much else.
