He was 84. Funeral services for Mr. Smith were held Wednesday afternoon, July 16 in a Montebello funeral home. Burial was in the Rose Hills Memorial Park Cemetery, Whittier. Odd Fellows Lodge 430 of Montebello presented the graveside service. Floyd Charles Smith was born in Aurora. He was a barber by trade and has owned his shop for 55 years. He moved to California about 46 years ago. Mr. Smith was a 50 year member of Odd Fellows Lodge, a member of Harmony Rebekah Lodge 355, Montebello, a member of Citrus Encampment 107, Whittier, and of the Ancient Mystic Order of Samaritans, Comas 216, Los Angeles. He served in the Nebraska Home Guard during World War I. He was a member of the Community Brethren Church of East Los Angeles. He will be remembered as an accomplished musician, playing many instruments. Survivors include his daughter, Mrs. Franklin Stump of Los Angeles, five sisters, Mrs. Cecil Strong and Mrs. Lola [sic] Hamilton, both of Aurora, Mrs. Nellie Miller of Central City, Mrs. Lila Sellers of Spokane, Wash. and Mrs. Eva Daggott [sic] of Ellenburg, Wash. and one brother, Thomas Smith of Aurora. __________ Floyd, s/o Thomas Hill Smith & Katherine Georgia Nichols, b. 12 May 1885, Aurora, Hamilton Co., NE; m.
